Pet odors in carpet

Posted by in Odors

OdorsWhen your Pet has had an accident on your carpet it not only affects the carpet, but it affects the padding and sub-floor. Most Deodorizers only mask the odor they do not remove it.

If you have a small area usually an Enzyme is your best chance for removing the odor.  If more than 20% of your room has been saturated than 60% of the underneath of the carpet, including padding and floor will be affected.

You will then need to remove the padding and carpet and apply a sealer to your sub-floor , the sealer will lock in the odor.
